Mark your calendar! The Space Needle’s 5th annual Base 2 Space stair climb will be Sunday, September 29, 2019. Registration will open in late April.

Seattle’s Most Iconic Climb
Gather your co-workers, friends and family, lace up your best running shoes, and scale the Space Needle’s stairs at Base 2 Space: Seattle’s Most Iconic Climb! Taking one of two intertwining, open-air stairwells, participants will climb 832 stairs to the tower’s observation level, located 520-feet above ground. During the climb, participants will be able to look out at downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Lake Union and all of the area’s surrounding beauty as the elevators glide up and down the tower. After finishing the climb, Base 2 Space participants will also have full access to The Loupe—the Space Needle’s new revolving glass floor!  We welcome climbers eight years of age and older and of all fitness levels.

It’s all for a Good Cause
All donations raised during Base 2 Space will benefit Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Space Needle Foundation.  The Space Needle Foundation is proud to support Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, a world-renowned organization dedicated to eliminating cancer and other related diseases. As a component of the Seattle Foundation, the Space Needle Foundation is committed to elevating our collective future by supporting organizations who are at the forefront of transforming lives and make a positive difference in the Puget Sound region.

Whether it’s in honor of a loved who battled cancer, a celebratory moment for a survivor, or a personal fitness goal, we hope you join us on Sunday, September 29.
