The Space Needle has inaugurated a new tradition in the Greater Seattle area this holiday season – one that will not only make visiting the famous icon a bit cheerier, but will continually give back to the community it symbolizes. On November 12th in the Broad Street turn-around, located at the base of the Space Needle, a brand new, 41-foot-tall tree – a “Tree for All at the Needle” – has been lit in the name of the community’s generosity and caring.
Thirty area charities have elected to participate in the Space Needle’s “Tree for All.” Each participating charity has received coded vouchers that they will distribute to their donors and supporters. For every voucher submitted with purchase of a full-price adult ticket to the Observation Deck between November 12th and December 24th, $5 will go directly back to the charity that referred the guest to the Space Needle. For every voucher submitted with purchase of a full-price senior or youth ticket to the Observation Deck, $2.50 will be donated to the referring charity.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the Space Needle ticket booth and online. Guests are encouraged to use their tickets during the holiday season, but all tickets purchased through this program will be honored for up to one year from time of purchase.
The organization that has the most tickets purchased on its behalf will be presented with an additional $25,000 from the Space Needle family at their annual “Quadrant Homes New Year’s at the Needle” festivities on December 31st.
Two ways to support your favorite charity:
1 - Click on the 'pdf voucher' link to the right of the organizations in the below list, print the voucher and present it at the Ticket Booth when you purchase an Adult, Senior or Youth Observation Deck ticket.
2 - Purchase your tickets online by simply making a note of the 'charity code' to the right of your organization and proceeding to our online ticketing page. You will be prompted to enter the code on the billing page towards the end of your purchase. Once it has been entered and you have submitted your order, your charity will receive credit for your ticket purchase.
